September Stuff

** Cheap Eat ** This Friday, September 17th **
Since New Diana’s football team is open this week we will be heading out to town for a good ol’ Cheap Eat. Be at the church at 7pm, bring a friend and $8 for dinner. We will vote on the restaurant on the way! We will be back at the church around 10pm. * There is a short information slip that needs to be filled out, so make sure to grab one for you and a friend! Bring this form with you to the church at 7pm. *

** See You At the Pole ** Wednesday, September 22nd **
Global Day of Student Prayer. Join with others at the flag pole before school at 7:00am. WE LIVE IN A BLESSED NATION- THERE ARE SO MANY PLACES IN THE WORLD WHERE A GATHERING LIKE THIS COULD RESULT IN ARREST, PERSUCUTION, AND DEATH. DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS! Join with your student body and spend a little in with our Heavenly Father.
Pray for God to REVEAL Himself to you and your friends in middle school, high school, college - as you pray for one another and your friends, school, community, country, and world.

Concert ** Wednesday, September 22nd **
Tenth Avenue North, Addison Road, and Matt Maher Concert is at ETBU and begins at 7pm. We will be meeting at the church at 5pm. We’ll head to Marshall, grab a bite to eat (bring about $7 to eat at a fast food place) and then we will head to the concert. The concert should be over around 10 or 10:30 and we will head back to the church at that time. I expect that we should be back around 10:30-11pm. If you signed up for a ticket I need your payment as soon as you can get it to me, tickets are $10. ** Please remember, as we have discussed before, students who are going to the event as a part of our group are not to drive themselves or others to the event. I really appreciate your respect and cooperation in this matter. Thanks! **

** MOVIE EVENT ** Sunday, September 26th 3:30-7:30 **
TO SAVE A LIVE community wide Student Movie Event will be held at New Diana Auditorium. Students 6th-12th grade are invited to come enjoy the movie, free pizza, and some giveaways.

** Help Support St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital ** Monday, Sept. 27th **
On this day, Chili’s is donating all of their profits to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research Hospital. As many of you already know, St. Jude’s holds a special place in my heart. Summer and I will be going to have dinner at Chili’s on this night. Anyone who would like to join us is most definitely welcomed! We will be at the church at 6:30pm and will take the church bus if others want to come. Bring enough money to order what you want ($10 should be plenty). Again, we will be back around 9:30 or so. * Short info slip needed by all students coming *

At Least the Food was Good!

A post that is a little late- sorry!

At the end of August we went to the Ranger Game and Mercy Me Concert. The concert was great, hot but great. We got to hear The Great Hambino's (Josh Hamilton) life story and how God has just totally changed his heart and his life, which is always incredible to hear! Mercy Me rocked the lawn and we stuck out the heat to join in with this HUGE crowd in worship!

And then... the game began... Our Rangers played the Oakland A's and... well, let's just say, at least the food was good! Because the game... was not so much!
Yumm!!
But, we made the best of it all- and had a great time! ... And yes, we are still a youth group with a deep love for our Rangers!
